Fountains and Gorgeous Water Features of Vegas (pictorial)

Posted on Updated on

One of my favorite things about Las Vegas is all the gorgeous water features and fountains. You can just walk around and be mesmerized. I love to just walk around and absorb the sights and sounds. The visually stunning installations never cease to amaze me.

From The amazing Caesars and Forum Shops to the Lake of dreams at the Wynn, you can spend hours just having a drink and looking at them. Add the amazing fountain at Bellagio and the canals at Venetian and Palazzo and it is mind blowing. Take a look at some simple shots I took.

Vegas is so much more than many people think. Just walking around can be a world class experience. Open your eyes and look at the things around you.

The Great Caesar’s Palace Random Pictorial .

Posted on Updated on

I truly love just wandering around Caesar’s!!!!  The hotel, the casino and the incredible Forum Shoppes. Even more entertaining and relaxing are the gorgeous grounds. Huuuuge!  You can spend forever outside enjoying the Vegas sun and the manicured beauty.  The place is a must when you are in town. Truly a wonder of the world.

In honor of today being the 50th anniversary of this awesome place I thought I’d toss on one of my weird random walk pictorial posts of this place. These are actually all from a my last trip there so hopefully you realize how much there is to see. These are just grounds and shops. It’s that big!  Without further banter, here they are. Talk after the jump.

I hope you see how seriously awesome this place is. I am fortunate to have seen it multiple times. I do not care if you stay at whatever cheap motel is in town, go and see it. You will feel like a KING!!!

Vegas Random Unusual Shots ( things I shoot as background)

Posted on Updated on

Sometimes as I dig through pictures  for work, I notice how many  random background shots I’ve taken. On second viewing, some of them are pretty cool. They give you feel for just being there. As you know, I’ve done several posts on just random walks. I feel it gives you a better idea what a place is like and about. You learn and some of my best adventures come that way.

This piece is almost more in the way of outtakes but they still give you that same idea. As travel/lifestyle/ martial arts blogger I’m all about trying to get you to experience things and places. See and feel it here and then hopefully go there yourself. At least get motivated to go somewhere new or view old things in a new way. Take a look at these from Vegas and we will talk a bit after the jump.

My family laughs at how many random pictures for work. My wife doesnt now as she has see the success from my goofiness here and in our other social media. Lots of random pictures. I hope you get inspired to wander around and see new things by these posts.

Walk Around And See Beautiful Art In Vegas ( sculpture/paintings/performance/landscape)

Posted on Updated on

I love Vegas. For so many reasons. One of them is that I love art. I know less than a kindergarten child about it but I love it. As someone who has lots of brain trauma from fighting, art helps me relax, enjoy and learn. If you wander around around Las Vegas you will find incredible art. Seriously just walking around. You don’t have to pay for a museum, installation etc. It’s just there. From expensive pieces from masters to performance art and incredible fountain/landscape pieces. It is a feast for the senses. Take a look at these pictures and get an idea of how you can view and learn just walking around.

For me there is nothing like being able to walk and see incredible art in public areas. Yes Las Vegas is basically one big performance piece, but you can see so much more if you just open your eyes. From fountains and sculpt to opera singers wandering. From master paintings to a 28 million dollar sculp, pictured with my hot wife and her hot coworker/friend on a  trip last year.  Yep, Steve Wynn turned down 28 million for multi colored Popeye!!!

Walking In Vegas ( more thoughts and pics in the random series )

Posted on Updated on

One of the best ways to learn and see what is place is like is to just wander. Whether I’m traveling to train/teach a seminar( or when I was fighting) or being paid travel and write/promote it’s something I always do. I never though I’d get paid to write about trips or get my picture taken. I’m still rough in doing so but folks seem to like it.
Because I take so many random pictures when I’m walking around to get the vibe, I started doing posts with them. You’ll see some earlier ones if you scroll through the archives. This one is Vegas ( I’ll likely do 50 on it because I have soooo many and am there often!) And has things from random street to Caesar’s and Miracle Mile. You’ll also see around The Mirage and Treasure Island plus a bit more. Just walking around the outside areas in Caesar’s complex could be multiple articles.  Stunning and well kept as are most of the places. Take a look. After the pics we will discuss why you want to shoot like this as a travel blogger and I’ll pitch you using me to Promote you!  Hey, gotta pay for my drinks right?

Walking Around The Palazzo and Venetian In Vegas (random walk pictorial )

Posted on Updated on

A common theme with me is just walking around an area and enjoying it. Seeing how it’s built. Having coffee while I walk. Later having a cocktail and a measly to just take it all in. As a blogger I like to take tons of random pictures of an area. It helps people see what something looks like and how it feels. Sooo much easier to describe and hopefully allow people to have the feeling of being there.
The Palazzo, The Venetian and the Grand Canal Shoppes in Las Vegas happen to be one of the best places in the world to do that. You get both the feel of being in Italy, actually in Italy ( yes I’ve been there) plus you’re in Vegas Baby!!!  Visually Stunning, great stores and food. Clean!!!!  Can’t beat it. I’m going to mostly just post pictures here for two reasons. One, I’m going back there soon to do a full review. Two, I just want you to get the feel of walking it and have your own ideas. OK and it’s Friday so I’m ready to quit writing and have a drink while I grill !  I!l hoo on s bit between picture sets, but mostly just think like you are there. Describe it to yourself in the pictures you see.

From the Frescos in the lobby to getting a gourmet pizza from a Mario Batali restaurant that feels like your eating outside. Your senses will continually be stimulated in a relaxing manner. Coffee, pastries and gelato.
One of the best things though is just walking even on the walkways outside. Again it’s the feeling of where you are. Authentic and fun. Take a look.

From the simple pleasure of listening to the gondoliers singing in actual gondolas to great food. You can wander here and not spend a dime yet still be entertained. You can also spend a lot and be entertained lol.

Random Walk Pictorial Vegas Part 1

Posted on Updated on

image
Within the huge Venetian compound. It and the Palazzo which are the ight together have many cool little nooks and areas. Feels just like Italy

So I’ve been thinking about travel posts and pieces a lot lately. As someone who travels extensively, something that doesn’t get covered enough is just random shots of an area. I like to get to know an area if I can. All over it. The cool and beautiful and the slightly grittier. In some places, a few feet is a stark difference in  how things look. So on and off here I’ll be posting some random pictorial pieces with some captions. As part of larger travel pieces from trips, I’ll add these. Heck it may just become my review process!  It lets you see what things are like and not just the glossy pics we all post. Doesn’t mean the pictures won’t be beautiful and cool, just a bit different. Enjoy, learn a bit about what an area looks like and share.  I have tons of Vegas so I’ll start there and it will take several articles. Coming soon as well, Galena Illinois for its history, food and wine.
Read the captions to see where the pic is and a bit of what was going on. I’ll keep to doing big full travel articles but going along with our lifestyle theme here, I think this is a cool way to show a place. I wander randomly when I get somewhere, so the posts should wander.

image
Treasure Island, looking at Señor Frogs. Along the strip, this is where they used to have the cool pirate ship battle some years ago
image
Along the strip, headed toward Belaggio near City Center. Can see Paris and Ballys on the other side
image
In the Venetian. Lots of mobile walk ways on the outside. Very cool although the week d to often be shut down
image
At the edge of City Center, far end of strip from the Wynn where i was staying. The Harley Restaurant you can see across the street looked cool. Didnt go but looked cool and seemed like this area had some food and drink deals. Unlike the end i was staying on
image
Down on that same far end of the strip. Near Monte Carlo, MgM etc. Sime parts getting a but run down but it appears they are starting renovation to this section. Never stops in vegas
image
I seriously do not know what this area was called. Just past miracle Mile area, close to New York New York. Looked like it had been a happening place. Pretty dead now. I was literally the only person walking around there. Places were still open but i think it had probably become late night cheap drink and food place. Cool though
image
Still in the dead zone
image
More dead zone
image
Didnt get a chance but this 800 degrees pizzeria looked great
image
A taste of another pictorial to come. Freemont street on Halloween. Yes we were there. That will be a great pictorial, although im unsure how to caption most of them

More coming soon. I take way to many pictures on trips, and enjoy just discussing the random. Fremont Street on Halloween may have to be the next travel piece. So many goofy pictures from that.
